2017 Ms. Wheelchair Texas Kendra Willis

Kendra Willis, Ms Wheelchair Texas 2017Kendra Willis is an ambitious single mother with a spinal cord injury. She is currently working for Galena Park I.S.D. and Pasadena I.S.D where she manages and teaches special needs and general population school age kids grades K-12. She is the proud owner of Sugar Gallery, making an assortment of cakes and pies weekly and for the holidays. Her highest accomplishment however is her daughter Kyndall. Her daughter was 6 months old at the time of hershooting. Kendra Willis has always dreamed of having a daughter and Kyndall has given her the passion and motivation to be strong, and to keep fighting for her dreams. Mothers don’t have the option to quit! Since her injury she has had an enormous amount of adversities becoming independent, raising her daughter, pursuing financial freedom and problem solve her way through all of it. The things that she thought were impossible, she has done and made it possible.Kendra Willis has been accompanying Kyndall across the country as she competed in dance and cheer competitions and large on stage productions. Now that her daughter is a bit older Kendra Willis’s future goals are to become a motivational speaker and publish her book sharing her evolutionary expertise with her peers. As Ms. Wheelchair Texas, Kendra willis’s platformis to share her passion for self-advocacy, self-empowerment, and inclusion for other women who share her disability.
